I heart Christmas like whoa--PROMPT TIME.
I have this thing for gauche holiday stuff. It is...well, it's intense. Let's put it like that. I had a roommate who hated Christmas (based on the gauche-ifying effects of tinsel and I don
t even know what and maybe having watched A Charlie Brown Christmas too many times) and she was short so I--being a tall girl--put mistletoe over her door where she (a) didn't see it for ages and (b) couldn't reach it once she did notice it. I am just saying. My love of Christmas tomfoolery is...like whoa.
So I was thinking that I could combine my desire to spread out into other fandoms (I've written EPIC amounts of Inception fic but...one Hawaii 5-0? And NO SHERLOCK??) with my massive love of the holidays.
So I'm gonna make a list of fandoms I could theoretically write in and you lovely internet peoples can prompt me a holiday themed prompt for any of the fandoms, using any of the upcoming holidays. I'll do a prompt or two a day (if I get enough) for the month of December.
Fandoms to choose from (in a you'd-have-to-be-inside-my-head-to-get-it-so-no-not-so-much-with-the-sense kind of order): Sherlock Holmes (any incarnation), M*A*S*H*, Doctor Who, Newsradio, Glee, Flight of the Conchords, Supernatural, Merlin, Life on Mars (UK ONLY), Castle, Fringe, Burn Notice, Psych, Lie to Me, Black Books, The IT Crowd, The Office (either UK or American), 30 Rock, Boy Meets World, Hawaii-Five-0, Dollhouse, Buffy, Firefly, Project Runway, So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef, Star Trek (ANY denomination), The Daily Show, White Collar, Hustle, The Big Bang Theory, Being Human, Torchwood, Gavin and Stacey, X-Files, The Thick of It, How I Met Your Mother, Columbo, The West Wing, Poirot, Miss Marple, Pushing Daisies, Xena, Scrubs, Bones, Monk, SO MANY MORE BUT I CAN'T THINK OF THEM ALL RIGHT NOW.
Keep in mind that I tend to find the slash in the most hetero-normative of scenarios so your prompt is likely to become slash-y even if you didn't intend it that way.
