what I become withut a computer...
Aug. 7th, 2011 07:19 pmSo I still don't have a working computer....Connor, a.k.a. "baby's first macbook," gave out on me for the third time with a VERY expensive graphics card problem and we have had to part ways. I have a new macbook en route but have still had to spend the last few days in pre-personal computer mode. It's like travelling backwards in time, no joke.
Therefore, I did what any time-traveller worth their salt would do: I looked up how to Do Things and have proceeded to Do Them. Like making jam (not so successful) and butter (as hard as it sounds) and kefir (it seems too easy for me to have done it correctly).
And I've watched loads of TV. Suits is my new crack, no joke. And Franklin & Bash is a genuinely guilty pleasure-- I don't often feel guilty about my TV choices, but this one I do. I mean, could they be bigger sexist creeps? No, they really couldn't. But....I love them both. My heart, it is the torn.
Also re-watched Zen, Lewis, Marple, and Mrs Bradley. Goodness, but I do so love a British detective. I sort of adore Lewis at the moment.
