ifeelbetterThere is an actual MASSIVE list for why someone else should step in and relieve me of my decisions today.
1. After grading a whopping total of three papers in three hours yesterday, I moved faster (eight papers in two hours--WE MAKE PROGRESS) today but, unfortunately, got to a point where I was making unhappy faces in the margins.
2. There is a forehead print in the notebook that was sitting on the table in front of me while I was grading from how many times I faceplanted into it. In public.
3. My brain was so entirely leached from the grading that I almost got lost on the way home from the coffeeshop. Which is two blocks away.
4. Then I replied to a comment on lj thinking I was talking to a different person.
5. Then I apologized to that person for being mixed up. Only I was in a different entry, replying to a different person.
6. Who I haven't apologized to yet. Because I fell asleep with my face in The Reading Nation in the Romantic Era.
7. Which I am supposed to have smart things to say about by midnight tonight but I keep falling asleep in it (LITERALLY).
8. And I still am just-under halfway through the stack of papers I have to hand back on Tuesday.
9. Then I ordered pizza and ate it while dipping it in garlic butter because I am just that healthy.
But--fellas--Supernatural is in season 6. I wish I could feel the joy that more time with SamandDean deserves and not be all worried about its future but I AM worried and this episode did not allay any of my fears. I feel like the show writers need to take a refresher course in the Winchester School of Emotions are for Sissies. Cuz, dudes, they were just chockablock with Manly Emotions. And no Cas to be all tilty!face at them so everyone knows Manly Emotions are siiiilllly. And they're supposed to RESIST Manly Emotions conversations, remember? And then only finally manage them in the middle of the dessert with beers and demon-guts all over their shirt fronts? Remember that?
And Dean didn't even eat a cheeseburger. Or pie. That makes me sad for him, show. We all know that Pie and Dean are the OTP in this show. We KNOW THIS. Why you gonna hate on the OTP?
OK. So I'm going to try another paper or two and see what inanities I write in the margins now.
