...because it is too hot to have thoughts.
Pick five of your favorite shows (in no particular order) and answer the following questions about them.
1. Parks and Recreation
2. Sports Night
3. Doctor Who
4. Hustle
5. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
Who is your favorite character in #2?
Dan. So very Dan. I find most of the characters in SN mildly annoying and deeply lovable and that goes tenfold for Dan.
Who is your least favorite character in #1?
I sort of have to say Donna for the simple reason that I am not heartily involved in that character. Neutrality is the worst I can do for this show, it is so frickin awesome.
What’s your favorite episode of #4?
I crazy love the art theft episodes, both the one where Stacie sneaks a painting out of a museum by pretending it's her T-shirt and the one with the current crop of characters where they steal a painting without stealing it.
What is your favorite season of #5?
I have never not loved the Daily Show. I am so attached, I talk about Jon like we're friends. I use his first name accidentally in conversation ("I have to go home to Jon in a bit") and then I get reaaaaally weird looks when I explain who I'm talking about.
What’s your favorite relationship in #3?
I love the current threesome more than words can say but I have to admit that the DoctorDonna friendship will always have my heart. Rose I loved, Martha was more awesome than anyone gave her credit for...but it was so refreshing to see Tennant and Tate not waffle about romance and just be the awesomest of awesome friends for a series. That whole time, didn't we all just want to hang out with them?
Who is your anti-relationship in #2?
I was not fond of the Casey/Dana romance. It was stupid, it was melodramatic, and it was drawn out to death.
How long have you watched #1?
I started watching in Season 3 and then did my backlog of episodes when I was released for the summer from my professional commitments. I knew it would grab me and I would have to watch from start to finish feverishly. I'm very proud of myself that I held off until school let out.
How did you become interested in #3?
A friend in Americorps back in the day got me started. We used to wait for everyone to clock out and then stay in the office (which was air-conditioned) for an extra couple of hours to watch it together.
Who is your favorite actor in #4?
Adrian Lester, in terms of acting. In terms of my fanatical devotion....Marc Warren. I love him. And he played a Danny. I go weak at the knees for TV Dannys.
Which show do you prefer out of #1, 2, or 5?
As I've said before, Jon is like a friend I hang out with most days of the week and the rest are TV shows that come and go. No competition.
Which show have you seen more episodes of, #1 or 3?
Probably about even. I still haven't done many episodes from Who from waybackwhen. I'll get around to it sometime this summer, no doubt.
If you could be anyone from #4, who would you be?
Stacie again. That girl is too cool for school.
How would you kill off your favorite character in #2?
Umm....this is such a weird, tragic question. I think he would have to commit suicide, honestly. He had such issues, you know, and I could see the show going that way. This must be Moffat's influence on me, dammit, because only he could inspire such a cavalier attitude towards the characters I love.
Give a random quote from #1.
"I'm like an elephant, OK. When I walk into a room, they're like, OK, he's in there."
Would a #3/4 crossover work?
OMG, I would LOVE that. Amy would so hit on Mickey.
Pair two characters in #1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
I think the show does that all on its own, all the time.
Overall, which show has a better cast, #3 or 5?
Geez Louise, I think I'd have to say DW over Jon simply because of sheer quantity.
Which has better theme music, #2 or 4?
Hustle. SO much better than the 90's-liciousness that is SN.
Well, that was fun.
