More Photos! Be bombarded!

I come bearing gifts...well, photos. Whether you would consider them gifts or not is neither here nor there. Just be bombarded, ok?
Comments, as usual, are above each piccy.
The most random thing to see...and twas seen randomly. We were searching for the Chagall exhibit (the art museum is not, I repeat NOT, easy to find...we biked all over the entire city before we found it.) hence the random sighting. Dunno what it is for, dunno what it was doing there, dunno why it needed cleaning. It was mad cool though!

My 'hood these days.

My office...I, unfortunately, have a desk that does not face a window.

Me and Karen had a little get together on the day between our birthdays that ended up growing to 16 gaijin in one tiny Thai restaurant..this is Joann, who I sat next to.

My random dancing boy! Me and Karina ran into him in the supermarket...and he danced silently at us, ran away, and re-appeared many times and eventually wouldn't let us leave. We had to trick him into going back into the supermarket by pretending to go into the door on our bikes and then veering off suddenly. His mom looked tired..and older than the average Japanese mom. She might even have been his grandmother.

Last Sunday was an air show at the Misawa Air Base...uber American, even had a Taco Bell...Karen, a Kiwi, was not so thrilled and, to be honest, neither was I. American food is great and all but I haven't been here long enough to do, as many other senior JETs were doing, food marathons.

Some turtles in a pet shop...they were snapping quite a lot! They looked friggin' awesome too.

Out the window on the way home..

Road ahead...

Dawn ran out of the car behind us at a traffic jam, into the field next to us, picked a sunflower, and delivered it to Karina, who was in the other car.
