OK, so apparently the TSN fandom is gonna continue to pump out the wonderful and wondrous WIPs for a bit longer. And by "a bit longer," I mean "the foreseeable future." There are so many fantastic WIPs is my point. It's, like, impossible to not join in.

♥ Have a couple snippets that I'm working on:

"Oh, god, I'm so sorry," he said, dabbing at the orange stain across Jesse Eisenberg's short--like that would help--and trying to think of some atonement worthy of his transgression. "I have a flat! And shirts--right over there. The flat, I mean. The shirt too, obviously, they're in the flat--"

"Could you not do that anymore?" Jesse Eisenberg asked, pushing Andrew's flailing hands away gently. "And this flat--how close is 'right over there'?"

"Really, honest, it's
right over there," Andrew said, pointing at his door, thereby dropping the rest of the orange juice on his own sleeve. "And you can have all of my shirts if you'll possibly not tell anyone this story as a part of a flirty anecdote?" God, why couldn't he not say things out loud?

"I don't tell flirty anecdotes," Jesse Eisenberg said with a micro-frown.

"No, I figure all of that--" Andrew waved the (now) empty orange juice in a way that encompassed all the whatever of his awkwardness earlier in the bookstore "--was fair game, right, but this is just too much. I mean, of course I can't stop you from using this as the newest tool in your arsenal of witticisms to pull--"

"I won't use it as a flirty anecdote, I swear," Jesse Eisenberg said, taking the empty orange juice out of his hand, "as long as you make good on this promise of a new shirt."

....and the other one....

There really wasn't a conscious decision involved when Jesse let the naked man into his apartment. It was just that the naked man was naked and Jesse--blushing the darkest red he'd ever managed out of pure sympathetic embarrassment--shooed him through the door before he even managed to take stock of the situation. It was like a piece of Jesse switched into Emergency mode and started making snap decisions for the rest of him. Naked people are embarrassing in public, that part of Jesse decided and so it resolved to move the naked person into a private setting.

There was also something happening on a strictly instinctual level that identified the naked man with the neighborhood stray cat that Jesse always stopped to scratch behind the ears no matter how late or busy he was. In fact, all sorts of non-conscious snap decisions were being made by Jesse's psyche because his conscious self was too busy bluescreen-of-death-ing to contribute.

So he shoved the naked man through the door and closed it behind him.

Right.

"We haven't been formally introduced," Jesse said to the naked man in his apartment. "I'm Jesse." He held out a hand.

♥ And, vastly more importantly, here are a couple by other people you should watch:

Oh, gosh, ya'll. This fic. This fic. The feelings I have for this fic! I feel like I need to start spouting sonnets, a la Elizabeth Barrett Browning, to properly express my love for this biznas. So Mark has a daughter, right, who is named Jess--I like to imagine her as a girl!child version of Jesse Eisenberg in my free time--and Andrew is hired as the manny. This fic will make iron-clad ovaries explode, I'm not even playing. Scrooge would have suffered from Fatal Ovaries Explosion, is what I'm telling you. There is no misanthrope so misanthropic to resist this goodness.

Jesse is a playwright and Andrew is playing his neurotic mostly-autobiographical character. If that doesn't make you run--and, yes, I know that no one actually runs from one URL to another, it's all in the fingertips, right, but I stand by my metaphor to the death--to read it, I have more temptations to strew your path withal. This fic is gloriously well written. It has these layers of subtlety to both Andrew and Jesse's characters and keeps both characters in these complex systems of depth without sacrificing the interaction between them. Oh, and did I mention Justin Timbalone is the director of the play??

Why have you not read this yet? Stop reading me, go read that! Eduardo runs/owns a bakery and Mark likes his coffee and the way he sings to himself in the morning while he bakes. Dustin is funnier than I have ever seen Dustin before--no, seriously, you thought you had laughed before but we were both wrong, you will laugh till you die--and Chris and I DON'T EVEN KNOW. I have run out of words. I would have to show you a slide-show of Happy Things to accurately depict this fic. It is made of unicorns and rainbows.

♥ ALSO. I am about halfway through with my [livejournal.com profile] i_reversebang fic. So that's to come.

The WIPs in this fandom are killing me. I'm already keeping track of at least six, my personal policy on not reading WIPs has completely abandoned me. Sigh. (That said, the bakery AU may be the greatest thing ever in life even though it leaves me wanting various baked goods.)

Sometimes I think I must have made up that the bakery fic exists. I'm like, "Self, that must be your fevered imagination. No fic could be such a perfect combination of perfect individual elements." And then I check and, yes, it exists.

ALSO. I used to have a WIP policy before TSN. Those were the days...-_-;;;

*delurk* Did you read Carry It In My Heart by Robin (http://robin-pulaski.livejournal.com/1666.html)? It's, like, the epitome of TSN RPF that everyone should read. It's technically a WIP, but the end of part vi offers a closure of sort so the wait is not too painful.

I used to have a WIP policy too. Now I think I'm following at least 6 or 7 WIPs and my TSN fic bookmark list can't be described by any adjective other than "alarming." >___>

OMG I READ THE JEWNICORNS YES AND THEN I DIED OF HAPPINESS AND RAINBOWS. I wish that fic was a pillow and I could sleep with it every night. Only. You know. Less creepy. -_-;;;

I think I have...yep, I checked...14 bookmarked WIPs right now. Just. I don't even know how my brain is managing to cope. I hope it's not deleting vital information to make space, that's all I'm saying.
